Makes for a pretty UI. Also, makes the app consistent with UI guidelines laid out by Google, and as a result consistent with many other apps.

Con difficult to include and exclude folders
Con Locked into grid view
No option to show a list view, which can be frustrating when looking through a folder full of titled videos.
Con May be abandoned
According to homepage the app is no longer supported or updated. What has been available is often buggy, laggy and missing features, as it never got out of beta.
