Since it's made of vegetable-tanned leather, its soft and contains natural leather characteristics. Over time, it develops it's own patina. It is also really durable leather.

At 14.9(w) x 11(h) x 3.9(d) inches), the bag is quite functional for carrying a lot of items. The main compartment has a padded section to stow a 13 inch laptop without problems.
