When comparing Wreckfest vs rFactor 2, the Slant community recommends rFactor 2 for most people. In the question“What are the best Driving games on Steam?” rFactor 2 is ranked 10th while Wreckfest is ranked 14th. The most important reason people chose rFactor 2 is:
With a few newer sim racing titles going more for high end graphics the sim racing genre has seen a rise in bettering the graphics all around. Luckily the graphics in rFactor 2 are pretty good with the highest end not being able to be taken advantage of by just anyone with a middle road graphics card. While not as great as some of the more recent titles, it is competitive.

Cons
Con Still in Early Access
Bugs can be found and not everything is finished. Game is in playable state though.
Con Large learning curve
The options in the game and what is provided with mods can be daunting to a new user and will take a bit of time to get comfortable with and fully figured out, though it can be worth it.
