The open back design gives a feeling of width to the sound, which is great for movies and games. This effect is achieved without having to rely on virtual surround sound software techniques.

The GAME ONE has excellent sound quality and offers good balance between the different sound frequencies. The bass is tight and punchy instead of the overpowering and bloated low-end that most gaming headsets have.
Mids have good presence and fullness, so game dialogue should be easily heard. The highs are crisp and airy so a lot of detail can be enjoyed from games, yet the headset is not fatiguing to listen to, even with long gaming sessions.

Inside the ear pads, reasonably thick memory foam is used so they feel really soft. On the surface is high quality velour which not only feels really smooth but also allows for some airflow to the ears, minimizing heat build-up.

Although the Corsair VOID series is primarily made out of plastic, the headset feels very sturdy and rigid. In short, according to users and reviewers, build quality is great.

This connects to your computer via the 2.4Ghz wireless band so you'll not have to deal with dangling cables or adding more wires to your potentially wire-filled gaming setup.

The highs present a good amount of detail which really helps in-game positional tracking. The mids have great clarity and make in-game dialogue and some sound effects stand out.

The ear pads and headband feature thick cushioning which helps to minimize pressure on the ears and sides of the head. The pads are covered with a mesh material which allows for some airflow around the ears, and somehow helps to minimize heat build-up.

The boom mic has LED lights which can indicate if the mic is on mute or not, what the current EQ setting is being used, or if Dolby Surround is activated. These lights can also show the headset's battery level.

Aside from controlling RGB lighting, the CUE software also allows audio preset customization, manual EQ control and many other options.

Through Corsair's CUE software, users can choose from a wide range of color combinations for the lights on the left and right ear cups. Different lighting patterns can also be selected, and can be set to match with other RGB equipped computers and gaming peripherals.

The boom mic's position can easily be adjusted for optimal voice reception without getting in the way, and can also be rotated up to the left ear cup when not in use.

With the RGB lights off, the headset can last long hours of use. Playback time can be anywhere from 15 to 20 hours of music listening and/or gaming before the battery is depleted.

Corsair includes its CUE software (Corsair Utility Engine) to tweak the sounds of the VOID to your liking. The options are quite extensive and allow you to adjust the equalizer settings for different profiles. The CUE software also allows you to adjust the color of the RGB LED's in both ear cups.

On the left ear cup are buttons which power the headset on or off, as well as mute the sound. Also, on the back of the ear cup is a volume rocker which can be used to control volume as well as to cycle through the EQ presets.
