Pro Amazing characters & story
Though like most JRPG's this game has a save the world story it's so different you get pulled in. The characters are deep with amazing back stories that pull you in and make you love them.
Pro Unique for the genre combat
Unlike most JRPGs, Tales of Zestiria has realtime action combat instead of turn based.
Pro You can customize your party members how you like
Each character on your team can be equipped with play styles and different abilities to suit your needs, and you can even switch members in the middle of combat if you need something you don't have.
Pro You can take a leisurely pace throughout the game
Star Ocean is unlike many recent games, in that it's relatively slow all around. The characters and story develop slowly and the combat isn't very fast-paced. This can be really nice; you don't feel rushed and can take the time to really explore the games intricacies.
Cons
Con Terrible combat movement mechanic
The combat is horrible, you are locked in place and movement is horribly restricted until you achive a 50 hits combo to unlock the free movement.
Con Too slow to get started
One of the great things about Star Ocean is that you can play at your own pace, but it does start a little too slowly. The big plot point really only happens about an hour and a half in, and until then you're just kind of doing random things.
