When comparing Watch Dogs 2 vs Hacknet, the Slant community recommends Hacknet for most people. In the question“What are the best Hacking games on Steam?” Hacknet is ranked 2nd while Watch Dogs 2 is ranked 4th. The most important reason people chose Hacknet is:
The game is mostly realistic! It teaches you many things about how computers work, and the whole game can be played through a terminal! It has a graphical interface to open documents and navigate file systems, it also has a graphical nmap to connect to different nodes! Highly recommended, it's a really good game that teaches you a lot about hacking! It makes you search through files and makes you think hard to find password, IP addresses, and a lot more! Some "missions" / contracts require fast-thinking, which puts your knowledge at a challenge.

Cons
Con A lot of automatism
The game has a lot of exe programs that you must use to crack different ports ( example: You type the command "SSHCrack 22" and it automatically cracks port 22 and unlocks it ), and there's no actual way of doing much manually.
