When comparing BajaBoard vs LandWheel V4, the Slant community recommends LandWheel V4 for most people. In the question“What is the best electric skateboard?” LandWheel V4 is ranked 18th while BajaBoard is ranked 22nd. The most important reason people chose LandWheel V4 is:
Very good protection against water and dust as it is IP 65 rated. While any motor and board will need to be cleaned in order to keep it in prime operating condition, the [International Protection Marking](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_Code) code allows for some protection against dust, grime and water for the mechanical mechanisms of the device.
Ranked in these QuestionsQuestion Ranking
Pro Braking is smooth
Brakes are strong but very smooth. You can actually set the maximum strength depending on your level. And the board doesn't try to turn as you brake.
Pro Goes anywhere
Obviously doesn't go into water, but it pretty much barges through anything else.
Pro The board is the most stable I've ridden
Can go over roots and rubbish at near full speed and you don't need to worry about getting thrown off.
Pro 4-wheel drive
BajaBoard is one of the few four-wheel drive boards on the market. This gives it amazing power and handling on rough terrain, which is the board’s bread and butter.
Pro Super responsive controller with a lot of features
You've got the standard power settings, but it even has settings for traction control. The board follows the trigger very quickly, so even though there's a lot of power, you feel like you've got it under control.
This comes down to the model you have. The G4 controller is completely different from what I've seen of their old controller, which I don't think they make any more (and for good reason!)
Pro Impressive top speed
The BajaBoard can go up to 37 mph for the 4WD, and 31 mph for the 2WD.
Pro Good protection against elements
Very good protection against water and dust as it is IP 65 rated. While any motor and board will need to be cleaned in order to keep it in prime operating condition, the International Protection Marking code allows for some protection against dust, grime and water for the mechanical mechanisms of the device.
Pro Supports both regular and electric models
The battery can be changed.
Pro Convenience of using almost any deck you like
It can be used with 90% skateboard decks on the market. Meaning that you can use a pre existing deck as well as purchase any that are to your liking.
Pro Good warranty
There is a 1 year warranty on the device from the manufacturer, allowing for a good amount of time of coverage.
Con Extremely expensive
With a base price of $4,500, it's a real investment. While very few other boards are built for quite the same riding style as the BajaBoard, other top-of-the-line boards come in at less than half the cost.
Con Quite heavy
The board weighs 55 pounds.
Con Not Waterproof
It can be affected by water damage.
Con Poor maneuverability
It's difficult to maneuver and turn on the Bajaboard, sharp turns feel uncomfortable and unbalanced.
Depends on if you had one of their original G3's or the new G4 or G4X. The new boards feel great. Obviously with the size it doesn't turn as sharply as some of your street boards, but for trail riding, no problems.
Con No mobile app
There is no mobile applications for iOS nor Android, which is a massive loss given its price.
Con Bad usability and connectivity of remote
The remote feels hard and uncomfortable, it's not easy to modulate and it's not reliable - it loses connection with the board quite often, potentially causing serious injuries. The latest G4 model however features a new hand controller which is much easier to use and has improved functionality.
Con Long range
The range will vary from 10 to 21 miles depending on the battery pack selected.
Con Its onbly toy
I have first version and now V3, this products its very poor quality, have asymetric wheels and make big vibration... this its only TOY not product
Con Only 400 W of power per wheel
Not a very high-quality motor.
