When comparing Lenovo Moto G4 vs LG G6, the Slant community recommends Lenovo Moto G4 for most people. In the question“What are the best phones for Pokémon GO?” Lenovo Moto G4 is ranked 6th while LG G6 is ranked 8th. The most important reason people chose Lenovo Moto G4 is:
A 3000mAh battery is commonly found in flagship phones with more powerful internals, so the same battery in the G4 will make it last longer. It can manage over 20 hours of 3G talk time, 9h40m of continuous video playback, and over 11 hours of constant web browsing. Under a battery stress test, the Moto G4 lasted 3h30m, so expect around 4-ish hours of continuous GO time

Pros
Pro Good battery life
A 3000mAh battery is commonly found in flagship phones with more powerful internals, so the same battery in the G4 will make it last longer. It can manage over 20 hours of 3G talk time, 9h40m of continuous video playback, and over 11 hours of constant web browsing. Pro Very bright display for day-time adventuring
The display on the Moto G4 can achieve up to 723 nits of brightness which is one of the brightest phone displays currently available. Searching for Pokémon during the day won't be an issue at all.
Pro Above average GPS signal
When compared to a dedicated brand-name GPS, the Moto G4 holds its own. While it won't connect indoors and takes a bit to make the initial connection, once connected it is accurate to 10m which is considerably better than other phones at this price-point. A rock-solid GPS is ideal for Pokémon GO because the game relies so much on your real-world location for Pokéstops, and searching for the Pokémon and gyms. Also, when walking to hatch eggs, most GPSs will cut corners which reduces the recorded distance - making it take longer to hatch those eggs.
Pro Good repairability
Lenovo is known to have good support for their products.
Pro Can be used comfortably even though it has a relatively large screen
The LG G6 has a 5.7" QHD display, yet its overall size is smaller than the Galaxy S7 Edge, and significantly smaller than the iPhone 7 Plus, both of which have 5.5" screens. This means that you get a bigger display with a more manageable form factor which makes it easy to use even with one hand.
Pro Great screen ratio for multitasking
Like the Galaxy S8, the LG G6 has a taller display than most phones: most have a 16:9 aspect ratio, the S8 has an 18.5:9, and the G6 has an 18:9, or 2:1. This is fantastic for Android's newer multitasking features, as well as just general use. The vast majority of apps support this new display, so you should have no problems with that.
Pro The camera is capable of taking very high-quality pictures
Along with the iPhone 7 Plus and OnePlus 5, the LG G6 sports dual cameras, and does a great job of using them to their full potential.
Pro Light UI
The UI of the G6 isn't completely stock, but unlike many like HTC and Samsung, the interface still feels a lot like stock Android. It still feels unique, and a few nice features are added, but it doesn't depart too far from the Android experience.
Cons
Con Heats up a lot during constant use
Temperatures on the Moto G4 can reach 44.6C (112F) during lab tests (room temperature was 22C). Outdoors temperatures can get higher than that, especially in direct sunlight. Expect the Moto G4 to heat up considerably when wandering the streets.
Con Unreliable GPS
The GPS is extremely slow to get in position and will often dance around seemingly randomly. It affects other apps using the GPS, the fault is poor quality GPS hardware in the device.
Con Poor gaming performance
While Pokémon GO isn't too hard to run, the G4 will lag and studder here and there. It uses the Snapdragon 617 processor which isn't too powerful. The game will certainly be playable, however it won't run smoothly all the time.
Con Weak audio capabilities
Built-in audio is a weak point of this phone; while it does have a headphone jack, the built-in speaker is mediocre so you'll definitely want some earbuds or headphones.
Con Not all features available in all markets
The LG G6 has market exclusives. The American version comes equipped with wireless charging, however other models get a 32-bit high quality DAC.
Con Battery might not last a full day
The G6 has an always-on display even though it's IPS, and this (along with its 3300mAh battery) makes the phone's battery life kinda disappointing.
Con Rounded display
This phone literally cuts corners in that the G6's display isn't completely rectangular.
