Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood vs Hunter X Hunter (2011)

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is a titan when it comes to storytelling. The depth of the story is astounding; you begin by following the Elric brothers, 2 alchemists who are on a quest to find the Philosopher's Stone in order to use it to restore their bodies to their natural states. However, as they unravel the mysteries associated with the stone, they uncover something that threatens the security of their country, Amestris, and the rest of the world with it.

While the feel of the anime is dark and ominous, there's plenty of humor to break it up, great fight scenes to watch, and a myriad of interesting characters to follow.

Overall, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is a superbly entertaining show.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood's writing and production was overseen by the writer of the manga, in order to ensure the accuracy of the content.

Every single character background is very curated and deep.
At the end you'll know not only the story of the two protagonists, but also everything around.

Because this new edition of the show follows the manga so closely, and was produced towards the end of the manga's release, there isn't any filler added.

Can pass through funny moments, and can become very dark.

The character development, storytelling, worldbuilding are top notch. The arc variability is commendable, all of them being great.

The characters grow stronger but also the relationships are developed throughout the show

Despite its length, this adaptation of the manga follows the story fairly closely, and doesn't spend much time trying to stretch things out.
