The light mode is cluttered with images, the font colors are either difficult to read or annoying, the search results list is way less compact and easy to look at than, say, Google, and in describing search results, the term "WEIRD" tends to spring to mind. They're certainly not very focused or useful. The dark mode makes you feel like you're watching someone else's nightmare.
