It's easy to overclock using this motherboard thanks to the 5-way Optimization in the AI Suite III utility app. It automatically overclocks the CPU (processor), GPU and changes your fan curves accordingly. All you need to do is set target temperature and target voltage. The app itself is really easy to use as well, among the easiest out there, because all you need is a few clicks to do it. Select TPU, all cores or per core, change the advanced ratio Settings and press start.

A ryzen 1700 should be stable almost all the time, at around 3.9GHz and around 1.35 volts. Though not recommended, should hold 4GHz at around 1.425 volts.

If you're into that, it supports Quad graphics cards in SLI and Quad gpu's in AMD CrossFireX. Which can be used to increase performance on games or other workloads. Though it must be noted, that not all programs scale well with multiple gpu's.

Has a pre-installed M.2 wi-fi module, which is relatively rare at this price point.
