When comparing DefEndless vs Bloons TD Battles, the Slant community recommends DefEndless for most people. In the question“What are the best tower defense games playable in a browser?” DefEndless is ranked 4th while Bloons TD Battles is ranked 7th. The most important reason people chose DefEndless is:
Enemies in DefEndless ignore the standard path and instead choose the shortest path to certain checkpoints. Where you place your towers influences this path, allowing you to choose how the enemy moves through your towers. Combine this with the fact that you can move your towers at will means that you can constantly adjust the enemy path to constantly suit your needs. All in all, this feature has given the tower defense genre a new dimension to consider, and easily makes this simple game one of my favorites of its kind.

Pro Lots of players make queue times short
One of the make or break aspects of tower defenses is whether there's anyone to play with, and Bloons TD Battles has that in spades. There are very few times where you have to wait more than 30 seconds for a battle, even when it's a mode that almost everyone has forgotten about.
Pro Multiplayer
Unlike most tower defense games, this game is full on multiplayer. They have a unique system of economy that incentives sending enemies, but you also have to know when to store up resources for defense, or big rushes.
Pro Updated often
Bloons TD Battles is updated fairly often, and has had new game modes come out every couple of months. They adapt to what people like and dislike, and base updates partly on that, while adding ideas of their own.
Cons
Con No story or background
The game has little when it comes to atmosphere, and most of the enjoyment you'll get out of it comes strictly out of its gameplay alone.
