While any motor and board will need to be cleaned in order to keep it in prime operating condition, the International Protection Marking code allows for some protection against dust, grime, and water for the mechanical parts of the device.

There is a 1-year warranty on the device from the manufacturer. It provides coverage twice longer than the majority of e-board producers.
