Pros
Pro Improved character customization
Previous titles in the series had character customization that felt outdated and dull. This is improved in this iteration of the series.
Pro Dynamic economy system
Pro Custom swords
Pro You are as strong as the NPCs
An arrow to the head by an enemy can in fact kill you. You are just (of course depending on the armor and stuff) as fragile as any other AI controlled NPC in the game.
Pro Economic rather than military focus
The game focuses more on empire building over combat and military might. This means the game is a bit more political, which requires a different line of thinking.
Cons
Con Not out yet
Planned to be released in 2017.
Con Short games
There is no real extended gameplay here, especially for an RTS. Games will last about 20-40 minutes and the structure of each game is very similar. Once the player gets the mechanics down and knows what to do when, every game will be pretty much the same. Win conditions are just too easy to come to the conclusion of and repeat with ease.
