Just press and hold on "Search" option, and it will automatically open radar, or you can press "Search" option, and press "Tap To Radar" Button. It's a great feature for me, also it's faster than Shazam.

When you find a song you like, you can chose "play more like this" option and it will suggest pretty similar songs, it works for me greatly.
