While there may not be many frills to the turn based battle mechanics they do offer a throw back to simpler times and will bring back fond memories of when RPGs were a lot simpler.
Pro Assets are used well
Many of the assets are basic RPG Maker graphics, but they are used well and inventively that makes the game have an original feel that was designed with great attention to detail.
Pro Huge open-world style gameplay set across space and multiple planets
You can do what you want, how you want. Go anywhere, attack anyone. Quests can also be taken in almost any order. You can fly, fight as well as land a spaceship through space and dozens of planets with various climate hazards.
Pro Action-adventure combat, monster catching, crafting and rune sockets
Action-adventure combat similar to Zelda. Over 100+ weapons and magic spells. Flexible combat which allows you to have two weapons equipped at a time. Weapons include things like shotguns, energy swords, walking sticks, bows and flamethrowers. Items can be combined with each other, and magic spells to create stronger magic.
Most monsters you fight can also be caught and will follow you around and help you fight. NPC characters that are in the game can also have their own monsters that you can battle against. Defeating monsters owned by NPC's will award you Arena Coins which you can use to participate in various Battling Leagues across space.
Pro Loads of loot, sidequests and secrets
Hidden areas and powerful items can be found all across the various galaxies and deep space. Rob, steal and trade your way to wealth. Hunt Titans and make your way into the Center of the Universe. Investigate ancient alien inscriptions scattered across various dungeons.
Cons
Con Short for an RPG
While not the shortest RPG out there seeing that the game clocks in at around 8 hours to beat it will only take a couple play sessions to play the entirety of the game.
Con Controls configuration initially confusing
Controls on keyboard are adequate but controller definitely recommended. Make sure to read instructions on how to configure controls!
