Pro Very customizable
Not only is ones troops customizable through their looks, armor and weapon choices but there are many aspects of the game itself that can be changed such as the voice work or skipping cut scenes.
Cons
Con Very reliant on HMs
Later Pokemon games rely less on HMs (moves that can be taught to Pokemon in order to advance the games story), which means more room to have powerful moves on your equipped Pokemon. Being heavily reliant on them in Omega Ruby means many Pokemon or at least on will have to use up their valuable move slots to have moves that are only really useful to get past obstacles in the game.
Con Amount of options may be too much to grasp
While not the worst thing in the world there are quite a lot of options in this game. A forging system for weapons a special power system for all characters may not ever be touched in a playthrough making one ask why they were included. On top of this they may be difficult to grasp the full mechanics upon first look and so may make for systems people do not really want to explore.
