Pros
Pro Split screen abilities
If you install LG's software, you will have access to numerous split screen layouts. Similar to stock Windows, you can snap windows to more pre-set arrangements. Support is included for 4 windows (one in each corner), 3 vertical windows, or 3 windows with one dominant window taking up half of the screen (in either horizontal or vertical configuration).
Pro Joystick menu control
Instead of separate buttons, there is a single joystick (located in the middle just below the LG logo) which is used to navigate the menus. It can be pushed in 4 directions (up/down/left/right) and can be pushed in which acts as the selection. It is easy to use, and easy to find even in the dark.
Pro Great for productivity
The 21:9 aspect ratio is aimed at productivity users. It fits two programs side-by-side much better than regular wide monitors (16:9), and is pretty much equivalent to a dual monitor layout without adding more displays which requires a powerful GPU. Viewing ultrawide content is fantastic - although not all movies or games make use of the extra space available meaning you could see some vertical black bars on the left and right edges.
Pro Decent built-in speakers
The speakers get loud, and offer good quality audio. There are 2 7W speakers facing downward in the bottom bezel. They won't compete with dedicated speakers, but for most users the benefit of less hardware and cables on the desk will outweigh the performance improvement of dedicated speakers. The monitor is very wide (you could say 'ultrawide'), and already takes up lots of horizontal space on desks leaving less room for speakers anyways.
