Audacious is a classic music player at heart that has not felt the need to weigh itself down with an assortment of unnecessary options. Advanced functionality can be attained through plugins available from within the program.

Con No bit perfect output past 24bit
Audiophiles require this, and while most users might not notice a difference, audiophiles will appreciate the improved audio quality.
Con Buggy
For example when using Visual Studio Code and Audacious you get flicked out to the gnome login screen.

Audacious is a rock-solid music player. The feature that compelled me to try Audacious is the plethora of Effects included. The Crossfade and Silence Removal are my favorites. As a bonus, Audacious also has the Winamp Classic Interface, which takes me back to the 90s!

Audacious was the first player I installed, I was happy enough with it but was looking for something that could give me a better overview over my collection (300GB of music). However even after looking around and testing some other players audacious is still the best option I have without slowing down my sys...
