Pros
Pro One of a kind game
One of the best arcade roguelikes (or roguelikes, if you're a purist) out there. Difficult to beat completely and oh so very satisfying. Gazillions of unlocks, secrets, bosses, power-ups and item combinations. Limited co-op (BoIR only). The game can be genuinely terrifying and dark, especially if you take a moment to ponder what's really going on with its backstory and characters.
Cons
Con Gross aesthetic
Binding of Isaac has remarkably legitimate artistic and thematic reasons for filling the game world with things like feces, acne, urine, dirty needles, and countless other aspects of the human existence we'd rather not dwell on any more than necessary. But that doesn't change the fact that it does so.
Anyone who can get into the stellar gameplay will soon be able to look past this aesthetic, but there's gonna be people who'd rather not try.
