Hey! This question is about manual window managers (with manually defined frames that get filled with windows) specifically, so I don't think it's a duplicate. In other words, I'm not sure if we should flag the question.
Hey there, doesn't this option fit the question though? :)
No, while there is some manual control, adding new windows may resize existing frames. Manual tiling means all frames are manually defined.
This isn't a duplicate: "manual" tiling windowing are different to dynamic tiling (most of the window managers in that link are dynamic window managers) - See: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Comparison_of_tiling_window_managers
Thanks! I had a 2nd reply "Or, please correct me if I'm wrong but is this a specific usecase in itself, since you asked about 'manual' tiling window managers? Please let me know so I could unflag."
I'm gonna unflag now. :)
