It's not "quite" lightweight if someone looks at RAM consumption, and it's definitely not lighter than Ubuntu unless you shut down all visual effects, which will kill all the beauty.

Unless you got different sources, all the spyware references I can find about deepin point to this post in which the issue was discussed and the conclusion was that it is intrusive but it is just run-of-the mill traffic analytics, but not spyware per-se. Have there been other incidents? Do you have more concrete or up to date information about this?
