I'm looking to turn Windows 7 laptop into a game emulator machine on a Linux OS. I want performance and stability. For most purposes I wish to Emulate Nintendo games across all major consoles (Zelda and Metroid), but occasionally, I will use it for Doom, and emulating other console games like Sonic and Megaman. I want to use a standard Linux OS like Ubuntu and Fedora, nothing specialized like Puppy Arcade.
