I can't explain what sort of application. I mean, it can fall under ERP, CRM, Analytics or even a Technical computing system like Mathematica. But all these tools don't come with something ready made or streamlined to answer what i thought to be a very common question that doesn't necessarily need specifics. Essentially, it's not so much a full blown application, however i feel someone with the right tools and skill can develop something that could return purchasing recommendations tailored to any kind of business.

It's hard to believe that there are no tools that simply ask you a few general questions that can be applied to any business that purchase and sell products, and ultimately generate a data report to help make purchasing decisions. I understand businesses are not all alike, but sales are sales, and purchases have a cost. Can someone just message me directly with the magical equation? One simple answer/recommendation based on a variety of KPI's. I spent hours looking for an easy way in hopes of avoiding what seems to be a never ending journey to critical thinking.
