From @MagicalXabalanque9252: I only use it on wifi, hence the 1gb monthly mobile data is when I'm off wifi, and not using it.
@EagerCorymbus hey, I edited this to remove the first person phrasing which we try to avoid (more on that here if you're curious). Does that sound okay?
Definitely will not sync Google Contacts, but if you export the Google contacts then import as "phone" contacts then it will show contact names on the PC app.
Did you mean to add this to some other topic--maybe one that was games related?
Does this app replace the functionality removed from Hangouts? That is merged conversations and sms integration for google voice and your carrier phone numbers?
Functions are pretty much laid out on their website. As I see it, the app is mostly about texting from your computer and receiving notifications.
Hangouts is not an SMS app. Regardless of what app you use, PushBullet should let you reply to SMS messages. Perhaps you mean other smart messenger services?
Hangouts had SMS support AFAIK. Maybe they removed it lately? I have lost track on Google's policy for their chat apps.
Also, SMS is being discontinued in later this year. Google has started contacting GSuite/Google Apps clients to say this.
Hangouts does do SMS. But Pushbullet doesn't interface with Hangouts. But it does do SMS even if Hangouts is your only SMS app. What this con is trying to say is that you cannot reply to non-SMS messages. However, you can, and other pros and cons list examples (WhatsApp and Kik, for example). But those are not SMS. SMS always works. This con is confusing SMS for other types of messages. I think that the other pros and cons now cover that.
Gotcha. Thanks for the reply. I'll flag this con.
PushPal, listed on the PushBullet apps page, works for Mac users.
This is not true.... You can create new SMS, and reply to more things than SMS ...
Interesting,I never knew that. How would one go about creating a new SMS with Pushbullet?
Click the extension icon -> SMS -> New text message.
Ah, simple enough. I flagged this con as out of date, thanks for the heads up! :)

I've been using MightyText for a year or so, and recently switched to Yappy. They have a backup mode, to make sure that the sms actually is sent, that MightyText and PushBullet does not.
Sweet. I had heard about the issue with MightyText, didn't know it was a common situation. Thanks for the info. Really appreciate it.
Btw, I used it to fill in the description. :)
