Let's Encrypt is a free, automated (using ACME protocol), open CA that signs Domain-Verified certs for free. Signed certs work with all major browsers. Although it is Linux orientated, utilities for Windows like [win-acme](https://www.win-acme.com/) also exist. It is also used by the free and open source [Caddy](https://www.slant.co/improve/options/21450/~caddy-review) web-server.
