As in nixos, you can't just have a list of packages and then be ready to do whatever you want. If you are reinstalling it you got to painfully reinstall stuffone ata time manually. bash scripts help but only so much. Some other alternatives to the apt package manager like apt, snap are too install bulky versions of the same programs while trying to alleviate the above problem.
