Flagged: I can't seem to edit or delete the sources here. I'm trying to cite this page: http://backup.github.io/backup/v4/databases/

Ah, you click on the little favicon icon to bring up each source. I deleted the two in there for ya and added the link to the one you have in your comment. If there is some text you would like to c/p for the source description from that page just click on the icon when editing the pro.

Was that the only reason for flagging, I could unflag if you want.

While you're here, any chance you can merge this question: http://www.slant.co/topics/5489/comments

I got an internal server error while trying to submit this question, and accidentally asked the same question twice.

Edit: Ah, I see you already noticed.

Thanks. After being unable to find the controls for editing references I got the impression it was some sort of permissions issue (like regular users being unable to edit references for some strange reason), so I flagged to get help from a moderator.

I've added a description and everything looks good now, so you can unflag.

Yeah sometimes the icons don't show very visibly, definitely something for us to look at, thanks for pointing it out. I will unflag now!

It wasn't that I didn't notice the icons, it was more that I didn't realize that clicking them would allow me to edit the reference. (I did notice that clicking them outside of the edit dialog just took me to the site, and I assumed doing so inside the edit dialog would do the same.)

I'm certainly not a UX expert, but I think perhaps including the title next to each reference along with an explicit edit button would have helped.

Also, the fact that this particular reference doesn't have a title (for whatever reason) was really confusing when viewing the reference from the pros and cons page. (Since it literally just showed the icon on that page and nothing else, until I added a quote from the source.)

Including edit and delete buttons in that view would also have probably helped me in this particular case. (The x button even kinda looks like a delete icon, but it isn't, which also briefly confused me.)

Just a couple suggestions. I have no idea if other users would share my confusion or not.

Good suggestions, our design team is currently looking at it, but user input definitely helps, so thanks for sure.
