Pros
Pro RPN
Like all HP calculators, the 50g supports Reverse Polish Notation, where you enter numbers onto the stack and then press an operator such as +,-,sin,cos,etc. last. For example, to enter 234/(77*44) without using parenthesis, you would first type in 77-ENTER to add it to the stack. Then you would enter 44-(multiplication key) to take that 77, multiply it by 44, and put the answer on the stack. Now you enter 234, but you realize that you have the numbers in the wrong order. With RPN, that's no problem. Simply hit the right arrow key to swap the order of the two numbers on the stack and then hit the division key. Done. No retyping results, using the TI-style "ANS" key, no shifts, and no precision lost.
