What are the best books for introduction to applied cryptography?

I have what I'd call a mid-level understanding of cryptography, and I felt the book was an extremely engaging and accurate primer on the basics of cryptography. Don't be misled by the fiction side of things - the book includes code in-line in the story :)

I read through some of the reviews and I'm intrigued. I may have to pick it up for myself in the near future.
Interesting option for a question I would have thought would be limited to text books. Thanks for the great add!

Hey there! Unfortunately, I'm not sure a fiction novel fits with this question. Did you find everything in the book to be accurate?
