When I started rooting my phones, I had such a hard time finding what the differences were between the two, and which was the best for me. Hopefully this page will help people who are in a similar situation.

Yeah it can be a lot to take in at first. I know back in the day one recovery would be recommended over another for certain devices (something to do with compatibility), is it still like that?
Been using Android since the HTC Hero, both of these recoveries have been a big part of that. Lately I mainly run with TWRP anymore, but Clockwork definitely earned it place having been the first.
