Thule Urban Glide Review

If you look at this stroller from the side, you will notice that there is a huge slanting space under the handlebar which gives jogging parents room to run. They can stride without their feet hitting the back of the stroller.

The Urban Glide has a 12" front wheel and 16" rear wheels. It's easy to maneuver because the front wheel can either be swiveled during regular/non-jogging days or locked into place on jogging days. This ability to switch from swivel to lock is an advantage since a swiveling wheel makes it easy to turn corners and switch directions during your normal daily activities. On the other hand, a locked wheel ensures that the stroller runs straight and doesn't shoot off in a different direction as it goes over a bump when jogging.

The ability to adjust the handlebar's height is convenient for parents with different height range. It is important to run with a handlebar that is at a comfortable height to avoid possible muscle injury and increased fatigue.

Although not small, the Thule is relatively easy to fold. The leg rest is a flap that covers a sky-blue lever that you can use to fold the stroller in one pulling motion.

In case you accidentally release your grip on the handlebar, the safety strap worn on your wrist and attached to the handle prevents the stroller from rolling further away from you. It acts like a short leash that limits the stroller's motion.

The Urban Glide, like all strollers, has a 5-point harness with padded shoulder straps, and belts across the hips and between the legs. This is especially important in minimizing injuries in the event of a stroller flip or in the case of a crash.

The suspension system has better shock absorption on varied terrains like gravel and bumpy roads, than non-jogging strollers. It serves as a natural cushioning and allows the front wheel to bounce when passing over a bump in the road. The tires roll over bumps easily, lessening the impact transferred to your baby's body.
