Ranked in these QuestionsQuestion Ranking
Pros
Pro Faster reboots when upgrading
Because Fedora Silverblue uses rpm-ostree, upgrades are performed by creating a new "commit" and reboots simply boot into the new commit, making the time to reboot during an upgrade faster than regular Fedora, which applies updates during the reboot.
Cons
Con Installing using rpm-ostree is more cumbersome
After updating or changing the installed packages, Silverblue requires a reboot for changes to take effect, unless the experimental apply-live command is used (rpm-ostree ex apply-live).
