You can search images by object, place, or face when they've been added to your google photos collection. Google Assistant also helps you find screenshots that could be archived, images that aren't in the correct orientation and pictures that would work well as animations or albums. See More
For a casual non-technical user it may be too complicated to use. Nextcloud service requires the user to run and install the software on a device acting as server. Although extensive documentation is available, it is much more complex to run and requires a lot more steps to install than say Dropbox or Spideroak. See More
You have control over your data/installation and it uses modern standards like two factor authentication and encryption. There is a security bug bounties program and a strong emphasize on security from the Nextcloud GmbH with a powerful community testing every aspect for vulnerabilities. https://nextcloud.com/secure/ See More

Synology NAS does support Dropbox, Google drive and other ones like Amazon Cloud, and NextCloud doesn't make it easy to add this support. Yes, it is possible to add a NextCloud client using PHP, but once you add it, the options are really limited, which, using Dropbox, is just a quick and efficient experience for workflow and for any user. You can use Dropbox via website, by installing a desktop client that creates a folder that you simply drag and drop files into, or with their mobile app. Everything synchronizes across all devices used and cloud storage. And Dropbox offers easy methods of sharing whatever is within it. See More

Whether using desktop client or web interface, simply right click on the file you want to share and select Dropbox > Share link, then send the link to the people you want to share the file with. The recipient does not require a Dropbox account. See More

I just moved on from Dropbox to pCloud, mainly because Dropbox Is Dropping Support For All Linux Encrypted File Systems. I think that the separate pCloud drive that can be mounted or dismounted and doesn’t take space on my computer is very big advantage for pCloud over other cloud storages. Drive is very convenient and easy to use for new users. Ability to sync any folder is also very, very nice. See More

I've been using it for a short time, but I'm quite impressed with: 1) the fast connection and sync (I'm in Europe), 2) the pCloud drive feature (network drive). Wish they would include a longer history versioning without extra payment (30 days seems short after paying Premium). In any case, pCloud made me drop Dropbox Plus. See More

Mike Grant's Experience
I am user of pCloud since 2015. So far I cannot tell anything but that the service is awesome... Quick file sharing, lots and lots of space, virtual hard drive on my PC, access my files anytime, anywhere... and so much more... Well I can talk a lot about pCloud and its benefits but you should try it yourself... See More

On some other services you can see previous versions and deleted files for a time, but with OneDrive, these are only available on the computer the edit was made. So if someone who has write permission on your shared folder deletes your stuff you just have to ask them to go in their recycle bin (and hope they didn't empty it!), which makes it less useful for teams. Not being able to easily back up office works through an integrated office suite can be a set back when comparing to backup apps like Drive. While you can set certain apps to save their files to the Box folder, it is not as easy as using something like Google Docs, which not only saves while you are working but as soon as you are done, with no extra steps. CloudApp allows you to share images, links, music, videos and files. Choose a file, drag it to the menubar and a short URL will be automatically copied to your clipboard that you can use to share your upload. Additionally you can view, track and delete files right from your menubar. See More
