Pros
Pro Nightlight
The Kindle Voyage has a new function for its backlight called "Nightlight". What this does is gradually lower the backlight brightness in a dark room as the readers eyes get more accustomed to being in darkness. This makes reading even less of an eye strain (when in a dark room) and also may conserve some battery life.
Pro Light sensor adjusts screen brightness based on amount of light in environment
The Kindle Voyage gradually changes screen brightness based on how bright or dark the reading conditions are. This enables users to read material in any environment from a dark room to outside in the sun. This feature can also be adjusted manually.
Pro Pressure sensitive pads allow for effortless page turning
On each side of the Kindle Voyage, pressure sensitive areas are embedded into the bezel so pages can be turned either direction without lifting a finger. Once the pressure sensitive pad is activated, it gives tactile feedback. This tactile feedback can be lowered or raised (3 settings total) depending on the users preference.
Pro May be jailbroken for extra features
Due to its popularity, the Kindle is a popular target for jailbreaking, which allows users to do things like change the screensaver. Thought the Voyage has not been jailbroken yet without opening up the device, it should soon have an easier method.
Cons
Con Ad-free version costs $20 more
With "special offers" enabled, the Kindle Voyage displays an Amazon ad on the home screen at all times and displays an ad when the screen is turned off.
Though with a little prodding Amazons CS may move over a users special offers removal from an older device to the newer one.
