The Galaxy S5 uses a Snapdragon 801 2.5 GHz CPU with 2GB of RAM and a 578MHz Adreno 330 GPU. The phone is capable of handling most software without a hitch.
Samsung also optimized software response times to touch improving the overall speed of the device. Although Samsung's sometimes extraneous software can lead to slowdowns.
