In a true roguelike fashion, levels are randomly generated each time a new game is started. Interestingly, Pixel Dungeon goes one step further by randomizing effects of all items as well so it's impossible to tell if a dropped item will have a positive or a negative effect based on its sprite. A lot of people see roguelike design as being based around randomness. It's actually a far more precise set of balances than that. A lot of roguelike developers shy way from "randomly generated content" in favor of the term "procedurally generated content." The reason for this is that a well designed roguelike is well balanced enough that if you lose or win, it's all because of the actions you took. Pixel Dungeon has a habit of sometimes generating dungeons that are basically impossible and sometimes generating dungeons that are laughably easy. See More
Pixel Dungeon's gameplay is intuitive, allowing for it to be easy to get into. What is great though is that it's also very challenging, quickly making the experience both rewarding and addictive. Just one more game is a thought many will have before actually turning off their device. See More

Being that it is based off of Jules Verne's novel "Around the World in 80 Days", fans of the author should find a lot to like here and those new to the author should be able to find something they like being that it is an established classic. Seeing things like Jedi vs Sith and politics in the game that are now staples of the newer movies helps to feel as though the game fits into the cannon quite well. With so many movie license games in the past being quick cash-ins, it is great to see the Star Wars license used in a manner that fits with the cannon and of high quality development. See More
For what is now an eleven year old game, the classic Bioware RPG game mechanics such as branching dialog and turn based battles similar to a CRPG (where the player must pause the gameplay in order to choose their commands to then un-pause in order to watch their chosen strategy play out) hold up well. Same for any of the expansions you choose to purchase, which aren't that expensive at all. They add entirely new stories to the game and all of them are under $7 each. There are a few puzzle sections in the game that are all logic based, meaning no randomness to them. There are clues on how to solve them as well as direct answers scattered around each level, so for those that do get stuck, don't worry as there may be something up ahead that helps solve it. Wordbase plays more like a game of chess than a conventional word game. With each player having a base at each end of the board, the goal is to get to the other side first with words on the board. Thought the most interesting part is that players can cut off the others line of words by intersecting them which results in cutting off the players progress above the intersection. See More
The 7th Guest: Remastered is an Android OS exclusive, meaning iOS and the Windows Phone platforms will not receive the game for sometime. Seeing as how a lot of high quality releases on release on iOS at first, it is refreshing to see Android the preferred platform for a release. See More
