Compromised leading to many users having their personal information stolen
Users are reporting that TeamViewer has been compromised, leading to these users having their personal computers and browsers used in a remote session in order to purchase copious amounts of online codes.

Peter J. Mello's Experience
Teamviewer is so good at giving you remote desktop access from mobile devices, it feels like stealing to be able to use it for free.
Top
Con
•••
Linux version's performance could be better
TeamViewer is powered by Wine, an emulator, on Linux and as such it runs slower than a native application would.
Top
Pro
•••
Establishing a connection is straightforward
To set up a remote connection you need the Android app and an app on the target machine (no installation required). The app on the target machine generates an ID and a password that are then used on the Android app to establish a connection. No setting to tinker with, no figuring out of IPs, etc. Just generate access tokens on the target machine and use them on the Android device to connect to it.

ShrewdArebati's Experience
Free Version won't work if software suspects you are using it commercial. which happen only because I was at a store on my phone to my own desktop doing a video task for myself. I seldom use it, and have often recommended it. No more free advertising.

As long as you don't use TeamViewer for commercial use, it's free.

Con
•••
Free usage may be disabled without reasoning to force users to buy it.
Lately, it started to detect commercial use. It disables the usage, trying to force me to buy the software. It may make sense to spare yourself the trouble and look for other solutions.
