Dedicated FTP app that performs well
Sticks to being a simple FTP app without adding more features. No need for other file managing features that are not related to FTP purposes. A client that is simply a nice GUI as apposed to just using a command line.

IntellectualEuryale's Experience
A really great software, which is not only versatile, but also very practical. I especially want to praise the support. I had a problem editing files on the server. The problem was then quickly fixed with an update. The guys and girls are awesome and I am very happy about this software. I earn my bread mainly with webdesign and it has become one of my most important tools. Thanks Forklift.

William Robertson's Experience
Another way of looking at FTP. Beyond Compare is of course a file/folder comparison tool, but I only realised recently - after using it for years - that it supports FTP (the Pro edition also supports sftp), and therefore provides everything I need from an FTP client. It can synchronise whole folders, or copy files, or even let you drill into individual differences line by line. And because it's designed from the ground up as a comparison tool, all that comparison goodness is right there in the folder listing, so you can see at a glance what needs uploading and why.
