This is a thin sock with no added cushioning, something to keep in mind if you like extra padding during long hikes.
Pro They don't slide down
A common problem with 1/4 socks is that they slide down easier when walking. However, the elastic in Darn Tough socks have a good grip without being uncomfortably tight, and don't stretch out.

Con Color is more drab than in photos
Some of the socks tend to look a bit more dull, and sometimes slightly different colors than what is shown in the photos.

These socks are available in plain black, which can be difficult to find in merino wool athletic socks.
Con Feel quite tight/snug
They have a fair bit of support/elastic around the toes and heel to help keep the socks in place. However this can feel quite tight and constricting.
