Some people are completely unable to connect to the online functions of the game, including even redeeming dlc codes due to hardware incompatibility?. These issues have never been fixed by Ubisoft who simply suggest you format your pc and try again. This does not actually affect the result however. For some unknown reason certain PC setups will not allow online play for this title. The issue even goes so far as to allow 1 of 2 identical systems on the same network access, but not the other. Mouth movements don't sync up with voiced lines, making it look like the characters are just miming and faking their way through conversations. Metal Gear Solid V gives players multiple choices on how to approach a mission or clear an outpost. For example, the player can choose to use stealth and cunning in order to complete their mission and kill only when it's absolutely necessary, or they can get in guns blazing and kill every single enemy soldier sometimes even sniping each one of them from afar or calling the helicopter for air support. This gives a special flavor to the gameplay and doesn't let it get stale for a long time since it leaves the choice on how to play to the player, without penalizing them for not completing a mission by using stealth (as other previous MGS used to do). Alexios and Kassandra are siblings living in Ancient Greece -- they used to be spartans, but now they live out their lives as mercenaries, taking down mysterious plots or just killing whoever's necessary for the money. Through dialog choices, you get to choose their personalities: whether they're funny and sarcastic or more serious and to-the-point. You get to navigate out in the open waters to get from place to place, getting hands-on with the full mechanics of steering your ship while firing off cannons at surrounding enemies. Using the directional indicators to line up the perfect shot is incredibly satisfying as you take down one ship after another, sending them sinking in flames. There's a full crew aboard with you, helping to give plenty of liveliness to your surroundings as they shout in anger and cheer in victory as you go along, with dynamic weather like raging storms that adds to the realism and intensity. The in-game map is absolutely gigantic. There are so many places to go and so much to do in the world, easily giving you over 70 hours of content. As an example, the bank heist level features a number of ways to enter the vault and deal with patrolling enemies along the way, like abusing an air duct to sedate bank personnel inside the building. On another playthrough, you may choose to clear the level by killing each enemy you come across, or by taking a different route altogether. With a revenge story where Billie sets off to kill the Outsider, the plot sets up a number of moral issues about who or what the true cause is behind the chaos, as well as the idea of killing God as the Outsider as a form of social commentary, but it doesn't do enough with this topic of morality. The story is more interesting through gameplay where the player decides how to tackle each level that they traverse through, defining Billie's character as either a pacifist or a cold-blooded killer. As you collect resources like metals and wood from around the open world, you'll return to your base where you can improve the structures to better protect you from the zombie invasion. Building more walls and tougher enclosures will be your main focus to help make sure you have a place to escape from the harsh environments filled with zombies everywhere else. If you're diligent about collecting materials, you can build some sturdy additions to your home base to help you have a safe place to return to. Whether you're fighting with a spear or a bow and arrow, combat is incredibly bland, with the same repeating animations over and over. Battles with spears are the worst offenders, since your character will do the same 1-2-3 motion over and over again. Fights against zombies are easily exploitable

At first, you'll notice that zombies do quite a lot of damage to you, but there are a few simple ways to deal with them that cheapens the entire game. Hitting enemies while you're on higher ground from them keeps you from taking any damage whatsoever, making these battles trivial. You'll be free to whack away at them with your spear while they just run into the cliff or bridge or whatever you find yourself standing on. You can also build a gated fence when you don't have any higher ground to stand on, and the zombies will, for the most part, keep running into the gate while you hit them through the wall. These are such boring workarounds, but they're sadly the best ways to deal with enemies and avoid damage altogether. See More

Cutscenes are really boring, lacking the inventiveness that the Metal Gear series is known for. There isn't much flavor to the cutscenes or voice acting to keep you invested in the story. Important segments will show slides of dialog with the character's picture while their voice actors drone on as they oversupply you with information about operations. As you run around the world, you'll have to manage your hunger, thirst, and stamina, with constant reminders from the game when you need to watch out for these three things. Your AI companion is in charge of telling you when you need to eat food, drink water, or slow down to conserve your stamina. Her robotic voice is monotone and uninteresting, growing annoying after listening to it over and over again. It'll more than likely drag on you after a while, possibly killing your enjoyment with the game. See More
