Pros
Pro Customizable software
Oxygen OS 2.0.1 is the default software, and it is very customizable. You can switch between on-screen and off-screen buttons, set long press or double press for any of the OS buttons, change the location of the clock in the status bar (or remove it entirely if you want) and there's a theme store.
Pro Quality build
The materials OnePlus used are all high quality, and put together well. The aluminum band attaches the screen to the (default) sandstone black rear which almost feels like very fine sandpaper - great for grip and is a new material that hasn't been overused. The OnePlus 2 has a unique design, and it looks great (even through the camera module looks a bit strange with the vertical alignment of the camera in between the flash and laser in a vertical alignment).
Pro Hardware customization available
For an extra $27, you can buy what is called a SwapStyle cover. The default sandstone rear cover pops off, and you can replace it with a different rear cover. There are currently 4 options - bamboo, black apricot, rosewood, and Kevlar. They add a unique look to the phone, but can also be used to replaced the damaged rear should something happen.
Pro Quick and easy notification managing
The OnePlus 2 features a notification slider on the left of the phone. It toggles between Android's 3 notification modes - Ring, vibrate, and silent. You can use it while the phone is still in your pocket, meaning you don't need to pull your phone out to silence it (or to check if it's on silent) - great for students, work meetings, and frequent movie-goers.
Cons
Con Old technology in a new port
Old micro USB cables will not work with this device, meaning if you lose or break your cable you will need to buy a new one instead of using an old cable you had lying around. If you need to top up your phone away from home, it will be much harder to find a suitable cable initially. Also, the Type-C port on the OnePlus 2 isn't a true USB Type-C port - it works with the same cables, but it uses the older Micro USB 2.0 data transfer speeds instead of the newer faster data transfer speeds.
Con Missing features
Fast charging has become a staple for any mid-high end phone these days, but the OnePlus 2 doesn't have it. NFC isn't important for most users, however for some users it will big a big deal. NFC can be used for payments, pairing with other electronics, or even quick printing (if you have a NFC equipped printer).
