Pros
Pro Responsive
System boots quickly and stays responsive. Does what operating system should do, and does it really well.
Pro Multiple desktop environments
Currently you can choose between the Budgie, Gnome, and MATE desktops before downloading.
Pro Default experience is clean and easy
The default desktop experience on the Budgie version is very clean and streamlined. Although the Budgie DE isn't the most customisable, but it's customisable enough for me to recreate the desktop style of ElementaryOS with the dock and bar at the top.
Pro Seamless Packages
It may not have the most obscure packages, but the packages it does have is a good number of everything a Linux user needs. Gamers, developers, desktop users, etc. all have the necessary packages and then some. The packages themselves are integrated perfectly and are very well updated.
Cons
Con Need to use gParted during installation
There is no partitioner included in the installer
Con Non-QWERTY Keyboard Layouts Require Manual Intervention
Choosing a keyboard layout other than QWERTY during installation does not change the keyboard layout during the installation process. After installation, logins use the QWERTY keyboard layout. There are workarounds, but for such a polished Linux distribution, this is a big black eye in my opinion.
Con No tv, dvb, usb card support
You can't watch TV cause it isn't supported by the kernel. And you can't install kaffeine or me-tv or any other DVD player application.
Con You can only install one package at a time using their software center
It's very hard to install every single package one by one, this takes a lot of time.
Con The default desktop environment is not very customizable
Maybe because it's a relatively new project still in its infancy and this may be fixed in the future, but Budgie is not very customizable. You can only change the theme and wallpaper.

Flagged Pros + Cons
Con Limited repositories
As you can see Solus is a new project that's built from scratch.
Out of Date Pros + Cons
Con Dependency cleanup of uninstalled programs is lacking
When you uninstall a program in Solus, its dependencies are left behind. This can also become an issue when some package stops depending on another package.
Con Small package repository
Repository used to miss some important packages but this gap is slowly closing.
Con Budgie desktop sucks
You can't drag files/items to another window over the taskbar, so you have to make your main window small to drag and drop files from one window to another. Taskbar icon behaviour is also really stupid. It looks good though.
