Excellent routing for outdoor sports
Komoot is geared towards those that do outdoor sports such as hiking or cycling by displaying common known trails as well as user created ones that are shared on the platform.

PreciseXochipilli's Experience
Used Strava but now and again it loses GPS but komoot tracked me through forests and jungles with ease...only con is you need data for rerouting then again, Strava needs data too.

Pro
•••
Easily navigate while offline
There is support for offline routing, which is great for when riding in areas with no data coverage.

Con
•••
Very slow 'Search' and 'Route Calculation'
Probably because Maps.Me has more POIs in its database which ends up with all searches and route calculations being very slow.

Pro
•••
Customize the routes you want to take
You can import your own custom .kml map, which makes for an easy way to create your own routes.

Does not show images offline if supplied in standard kmz file. i.e. zipped kml plus image folder.

Sometimes very strange suggestions
E.g. when not using the suggested route, Maps&Me continues to request to turn even if you are more than 100m after the cross-road.

Fast rendering
By using compression of the map data, MAPS.ME is able to speed up the rendering of their maps to ones device. This allows for a quicker feeling app.

You know that hill near your house? Now every time you ride it you WILL NEVER BECOME THE KING OF THE MOUNTAIN BECAUSE MICHAEL REIDANBACH IS APPARENTLY ON THE UCI WORLDTOUR WITH HIS AERO HELMET AND CARBON FIBER TREK EMONDA WITH DURA ACE COMPONENTS

LovelyTlaloc's Experience
I'd been paying annually for Strava membership for 2yrs, I then paid for my 3rd year automatically now it displays that I'm on the 'Free' membership? I have contacted Strava about this several times, they messaged me back with ways to solve the problem, none worked. I then asked for my annual fee to be refunded, Strava, in turn, asked me to prove that I'd paid my membership which I did so with a screenshot, since then they haven't contacted me so I'm not getting my money refunded, this could be due to the update they made but I'm certainly not paying again. I'm not going on Strava again they are disreputable.

Easy to navigate
GPS - Bike Computer uses turn-by-turn navigation to make it easy to see where your next turn will be. This is the same system Google Maps uses, and just focuses on one turn at a time so it's easy to glance at your iPhone and see when you need to turn next.

Subscription required for offline maps, turn dictation
If you want to download maps before your ride to save on expensive mobile data, you will have to pay a monthly fee of $5.99/month or $49.99 for the whole year. Similarly, a voice won't call out where the next turn is without subscribing to this subscription plan.
