Con Slow scan speeds
Scan speeds range from 5 - 24 pages per minute, depending on the resolution. There are scanners that are several times faster. If you run a busy office, the Brother ADS-1600W is not for you.
Con No SD-card reader
Cannot scan documents to a SD card. You still have to transfer the files to a flash drive or any wireless device in order to scan.
Con Doesn't have a battery
Though the scanner is rather small and portable, it doesn't have a battery and therefore cannot be used without a power source. When used in an office, it usually doesn't matter though.
