I downloaded disa to specifically get away from Facebook messengers white on white on even more white latest version. I love the dark mode. Each service can be customized through the hamburger menu next to its listing. There is also universal custom settings. Development seems to be progressing at a decent pace and they seem to listen to what users want/need.
