7-Zip is free software. You can use it on any computer. You don't need to register or pay for 7-Zip (including for commercial use). 7-Zip is licensed under GNU LGPL, and the *.7z format has support across all major operating systems. First off, I'm shocked this isn't even ON here! PowerISO outdoes the other products. It is NOT free, which is the biggest caveat to it. But PowerISO allows you to not just burn data, video and audio CDs/DVDs/Blu-Rays, but it also will recognize Linux XFS partitions (I think ext4 too). I learned this first-hand when I moved back to Windows from Linux (long story) and needed to get data off of my XFS-formatted drives. NO problem with PowerISO. It will also write floppy disk images (I have a 486sx-25 at home with both size floppy drives. If you have an old PC or two lying around, this software supports OSs as old as Windows 98! I paid for WinRAR too, and wish I would have found this before that, but it is what it is. 7Zip is a fantastic program, and probably suits most people's needs, but if you want the whole toolbox and not just part - I'd go with PowerISO in a heartbeat See More
