Pros
Pro A lot of different habitats
theHunter features a number of different maps to hunt on, representing different areas in the world. This ranges from North American woodlands, Australian outback and nordic maps to bayou, moorland and alps. All these maps have animals that naturally live in these habitats.
Pro Multiplayer
It is possible to join other players on their servers. That way you can hunt together, but it also has the big advantage that you can take advantage of their setups they have in the respective reserves, so that you can enjoy it without having to spend money on all sorts of contraptions of your own.
Pro Gear up for the hunt
Every reserve you go to and all the animals you plan on hunting have their own requirements in terms of what gear you bring to the hunt. If you hunt in the north pole, you better bring warm clothing so you won't suffer from hypothermia. Additionally, different outfits have different implications for how visible you are to animals and how much sound you make while moving. Not every weapon can be used for every animal. On one hand it's forbidden to use high caliber rifles on rabbits, but it's also forbidden to use a .22 on a moose, for instance. There are different means to your disposal to lure animals: whistles, smells and bait.
Pro beautiful atmosphere
The game has a stunning atmosphere
Pro growing content

Cons
Con Expensive
In order to play this game properly, this game requires a subscription that needs to be renewed every so often. However, that doesn't unlock all the weapons, outfits, baits, lures, tents, etcetera. For those, you additionally need to spend money on in-game currency.
Con Pricing
The base game is rather cheap but there are many DLCs expanding the game ( maps, weapons ) or quality of life (tents, SAV).
