Pros
Pro You're sure to find a character that fits your playstyle
KOF XIV has 50 playable characters, giving you many options to choose from. All of the characters have their own unique fighting styles, distinct looks, strengths, and weaknesses.
Pro Deep gameplay
KOF XIV is simple on the surface: pick a character, learn some special moves, a few combos, and go to town on your opponents. However, if you want true mastery of the game, it's going to take a lot of time and effort.
You'll have to learn things like cancels, where you stop a combo with a specific input on your controller, in order to continue in a different way than the game intends. Fighting games are often about who can break the game's engine the best, and KOF XIV is no exception.
On top of things like engine breaking, you'll also have to dedicate a large amount of time to learning your chosen character(s) in order to be truly great with them. Every character has complex combos that require precision timing and great reaction speed, and you'll have to get all of them down.
The fact that you can play this casually with a friend and just mess around for while, or practice as hard as you can and truly try to master the game really makes it fun.
Pro Dynamic and exciting gameplay

There are almost no missiles or any other long-range attacks, so you and your opponent will always be in close proximity to each other. Pro Great character customization
You can extensively modify your character's appearance, which includes changing clothes, hairstyles, accessories, and even recoloring most items. What's more, you can unlock additional customization items by playing the treasure battle mode. All of this allows you to give your favorite character a very personalized look while also giving additional incentive to play the game.
Pro Large variety of characters
Tekken 7's has a roster of 38 characters among whom there are celebrities, professional fighters, soldiers, robots, ancient demons, and even various animals. Each character has a very distinct appearance with multiple additional costumes, and even personalized fighting styles. There's enough variety you'll most likely find someone that fits your taste and playstyle.
Pro Excellent arenas
Tekken 7 has over 20 unique and beautiful stages that include urban areas, mysterious temples, and an active volcano. Each one has a very distinct color palette, ambience, and feel to them, so you won't get tired of fighting in the arenas for a very long time.
Pro Incorporates best features of previous games
Tekken 7 combines some of the best features that previous games of the franchise had, such as the ability to side-step in the 3D scene, various arena interactions where different objects can be used as weapons, fun cameos (Street Fighter's Akuma is a playable character), and highly dynamic gameplay.
Cons
Con Incomplete story
KOF games are grouped in trilogies and KOF XIV is no exception. It's the first game of a new trilogy, so the endings leave most of the plot points unresolved. You'll have to play the 2 next games to get the full story.
Con Balance issues
In games like this, it's inevitable that some characters just have better skill sets, easier combos, or are just plain stronger than the others. The developers have put in great effort in balancing the game, but this problem does persist.
Con mhn
yyj
Con Can be difficult to learn for beginners
There's quite a lot to learn in Tekken 7, including how to use throws, parries, sidesteps, and even counters. Unfortunately, Tekken 7 has no tutorials to help you to learn any of these important mechanics. All you can do is go to practice mode, open the move list, and practice each move.
Con Irrelevant storyline
Like most fighting games, Tekken 7 is very action-centered, so the plot sometimes feels like an afterthought. It's presented through an hour and a half worth of cutscenes, which wouldn't be that bad but the developers decided to hire the world's most monotone voice actor as the narrator. Sometimes it becomes so unbearable to listen to him, you'll just want to skip the cutscenes. After a few skips you'll start doing it automatically and forget the story even exists.
