Pros
Pro Realistic game mechanics
Developers of Die Young tried to make the protagonist of the game as human as possible. Not only do you have limited health, running and jumping diminishes your stamina, shoes improve your moving speed and weapons immensly increase your chances to survive confrontations.
Pro Enjoyable parkour gameplay
Die Young has lots of parkour that you get to do while exploring the island. The parkour mechanics are really well-done -- the controls are fluid and it's easy to master. The parts of the map that you can grab are easy to notice since they have white paint on them.
Timing is of essence when doing parkour. There are some long-distance jumps where you have to calculate your timing in order to avoid falling to your death.
Pro Lots of side missions
Besides the main storyline, there are quite a lot of fun side missions that can be found while exploring around the island.
Pro Interesting story premise
The player plays as a young womand who has been kidnapped and is stranded on this Mediterranean island without knowing how or why. You need to find a way to survive and escape. Curiosity to know more about what happened or what this island is drives the player to explore the island and find more about it and the story of why you were kidnapped.
Pro Great Mediterranean setting
The game is set in a gorgeous Mediterranean island filled with rich history waiting to be explored and pieced together by gathering various information from NPCs or items scattered around.
Pro A good variety of puzzle types makes sure that the game never repeats or gets tiring
You'll have to find clues, interpret symbols, use correct items in appropriate places to unearth the mystery of the room.
Pro Immersive
Pro Great atmosphere is set by the wonderful music and well done design
Due to an excellent choice of music and incremental telling of a dark story, the game creates a nice bit of tension and a creepy vibe in an otherwise simple and calm game.
Pro Amazing graphics allow for a level of detail not always found on mobile games
The Room has very detailed graphics that show the intricacies of all the items.
Cons
Con You have to re-craft tools annoyingly often
The tools you need to fight and craft other tools have limited durability and you need to craft them often. This wouldn't really be an issue since the crafting system is well-done except for the fact that items usually have very little durability and you will often find yourself re-crafting tools which can become annoying in the long run.
Con The control scheme can get slightly frustrating
The touch controls of navigating in 3D can be difficult at times.
Con Should be free
Con Ends abruptly
The Room is relatively short. Experienced players will be able to beat it in less than two hours. And it ends abruptly. Luckily there is a sequel.
